Fraxion Celebrates Mandela Day by Supporting the Animal Welfare Society Stellenbosch

Jun 01 2015

This year Fraxion supported the Animal Welfare Society Stellenbosch for our 67 Minutes for Mandela Day. Our team enjoyed the afternoon, walking dogs in the vineyards and interacting with the adorable pets at AWSS, giving and receiving an enormous amount of love and affection.

AWSS does praiseworthy work, serving the community of Stellenbosch and greater Stellenbosch area by taking care of the community’s unwanted, mistreated and neglected pets. They also advocate and promote the sterilisation of cats and dogs to curb unwanted breeding in an already overpopulated pet community. They sterilise, dip, vaccinate, deworm and treat illnesses of animals in low-income communities and provide a safe haven for homeless or surrendered animals until they are able to place them in good, loving homes. At any given time, they house an average of 150 animals.

Fraxion made donations to AWSS, including the sponsorship of sterilisations, vaccinations and food. Visit for more information. We were so impressed by the facility and its commitment to pets in need that we will continue to support AWSS going forward.
